Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and V-ChargeNow LLC ("V-ChargeNow," "we," "us," or "our"). By scanning a station QR code, completing a digital checkout, tapping a payment method, or releasing a portable power bank from any V-ChargeNow kiosk, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms.

To verify active payment credentials and enable seamless unlock, initiating a rental transaction places a temporary $1.00 card authorization check on your credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay account.

• This is not a permanent charge or security deposit; it is a temporary verification hold to confirm card validity.
• Upon returning the power bank to any active kiosk slot, the $1.00 pre-authorization is automatically canceled and reversed, and only your actual accrued rental fee is charged.
• If returned within the initial 10-minute complimentary grace period, the $1.00 hold is reversed with a final settlement charge of $0.00.

• 10-Minute Complimentary Grace Period: Every rental includes an initial 10 complimentary minutes. If the battery is docked into an active slot within 10 minutes of release, the rental is completely free ($0.00).
• Standard Hourly Rate: Following the 10-minute grace period, rentals are billed at a flat rate of $3.00 per hour (or fraction thereof).
• Daily Maximum Cap: Accrued hourly rental fees are capped at a maximum of $15.00 per 24-hour cycle, preventing runaway hourly charges.

Power bank units are intended for temporary rental and should be returned to an active kiosk within twenty-four (24) consecutive hours from the release timestamp.

• If a unit is not docked into an active V-ChargeNow kiosk within 24 hours, the rental session converts automatically to an outright hardware purchase.
• Your authorized payment method will be billed a one-time $25.00 flat replacement/buyout fee, and you may keep the power bank for permanent personal use.
• The power bank includes a standard USB-C input port and built-in cables, making it fully rechargeable and reusable with your own power adapters at home.

• A rental session is officially completed only when the power bank is inserted firmly into an available kiosk slot until the internal mechanical lock engages and the station registers the return.
• Leaving a power bank on top of a station, handing it to venue staff, or failing to engage the locking slot mechanism does not constitute a valid return. You remain responsible for session time until the station successfully detects the locked unit.

• You agree to inspect the power bank upon release and report damaged cables or hardware immediately.
• You must not submerge the power bank in liquids, expose it to fire or high heat, tamper with internal components, or force incompatible cables into devices.
• Power banks are intended strictly for personal consumer device charging (smartphones, tablets, headphones, e-readers).

All power banks and kiosk hardware are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind.

• To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, V-ChargeNow LLC disclaims all liability for incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including device hardware damage, data loss, port wear-and-tear, or interruptions caused by third-party device incompatibilities.
• Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim relating to a rental shall not exceed the actual rental amount billed for that transaction.
